Join Miss Lindsay on Saturday mornings in the Children’s Library for Sing-Along Story Time! We will be shaking our sillies out with songs, rhymes, movement, and simple stories.
For our littlest members (infants and toddlers to age 3).
The library will close at 2pm on Sunday, September 21st for a private event.
The Providence Children’s Film Festival Jury Night returns to the Athenæum! Join us for an entertaining potpourri of the recent independent film submissions to the PCFF Film Festival. Here is your chance to share your thoughts on clips of both live action and animated films. Your input will help the PCFF staff decide which films will be the very best for the 2026 festival season. Pizza will be provided.
All ages
Puppeteer Anna Sobel (Talking Hands Theatre) shares with us the magical story of the Fairies of the Four Seasons who are challenged by a grumpy gnome who wants to mix things up! The interactive puppet show invites children to enjoy movement and singing, to help the fairies save their seasons! At the conclusion of the performance Anna will also share a Scottish folktale as a special treat!
Ages 2-7
It’s time for the littlest pumpkins to hop off the pumpkin vine, zip up their costumes, and roll over here to the library where we will be celebrating Halloween with the return of our annual never-too-spooky Little Pumpkins Party! It’s a jolly gathering, featuring an interactive musical experience with our dear friend Lindsay Meehan of Mary Ann Hall’s Music for Children. Costumes are strongly encouraged! Treats to follow.
Ages 3-7 (younger siblings are always welcome).
