Shouting from the Archives

March 25, 2022

The John Carter Brown Library, an independent institution located on the campus of Brown University, has held one of the world’s outstanding collections of 15th-19th-century primary sources – including books, maps, manuscripts, and other printed materials – related to all aspects of the so-called “New World” for over a century. Karin Wulf, who joined the library as the Beatrice and Julio Mario Santo Domingo Director and Librarian last year, will discuss the importance of the early Americas and how the deep past continues to shape our future, how the library has contributed to what we know about this critical history, and what we can expect from this storied institution over the next years.

This event was made possible with the support of Joseph A. Chazan, M.D., and Vicki Veh.
