About the Project
Thirty-five Providence-area makers were given lengths of blank wallpaper stock and asked to return fifteen feet of printed wallpaper for a show at the gallery at 186 Carpenter Street, with additional events sponsored by DESIGNxRI during September’s Design Week Expo. Experience levels range from the expert, professional wallpaper maker to the student who has no experience but an appetite to learn and experiment. From April through August, this community of local artists and printers will learn, investigate, discuss and connect to produce wallpaper prints and patterns, limited only by their imaginations.
