SALON, co-presented with RI Chamber Music Concerts: Longy School of Music Dean of the Conservatory Wayman Chin, pianist, and Assistant Dean of Faculty and Program Development Karyl Ryczek, soprano, performing and discussing selections from Aaron Copland’s 1949-50 song cycle, Twelve Poems of Emily Dickinson.
This special Athenaeum presentation serves as an introduction to the art song, and to Chin and Ryzek, who will perform as part of RICMC’s season on 3/9 at RI College, where they will present songs set to German poetry, on the theme of “a woman’s life;” included will be lieder of Schubert, Schumann and Mahler.
