Each year RISD illustration majors spend a semester in a remarkable class called Picture and Word. For their final project each student presents a picture book: the story, illustrations, design, and construction. It’s a labor of love, and the results are delightful. For the second year in a row, students of this class get the opportunity to share their works with young patrons of the Athenæum Children’s Library. It’s a chance to hear and see original work, and learn about the creative process!
