New Artistic Director Nicholas Kitchen of the acclaimed Borromeo Quartet leads a talented troupe of musicians from the Heifetz International Music Institute – dedicated to the artistic growth and career development of some of the most talented and promising young musicians in the world – for a lively and energetic program of dazzling virtuoso pieces and chamber music masterworks. This is the ninth residency of the Heifetz on Tour program developed through a partnership between the Jamestown Art Center and HIMI that began in 2013. The week-long residency includes outreach programming in schools throughout the state, musicale events in public and private venues, an open dress rehearsal, and a full concert at the JAC on Saturday, May 18th.
