We can’t think of a better way to relax at the end of the day and welcome summer evenings in Providence. RI Historical Society and John Brown House Museum welcome the Contemporaries for a VIP garden reception in the John Brown House courtyard with open bar and appetizers (woohoo!), followed by a beloved Concert Under the Elms, now in its 21st season. The Contemporaries will enjoy a live concert on the lawn with preferred seating. Bring a blanket, lawn chairs, and delightful picnic or get your nom on at the array of food trucks lining the concert lawn. Performance by The American Band. Special thanks to our neighbors at Narragansett Beer and Campus Fine Wines.
History Crawl with the RI Historical Society

One mile. 50 restaurants, cafes, and bars. Explore downtown Providence’s vibrant restaurant scene and the city’s engaging history of growth and preservation during this brand-new tour. The History Crawl is presented as part of the RIHS’s 2017 programming theme Relishing Rhode Island, as well as the statewide A La Rhody initiative. Tour begins at New Harvest Coffee & Spirits at the Providence Arcade and concludes at a select downtown spot. See the city through the eyes of history!

In partnership with the Roots Cultural Center. We promised jazz, and we delivered. Illuminated by (admittedly battery-operated) candlelight, we assembled in our cocktail finery to dance the night away. Sipping signature cocktails and soaking up the sounds, we met many new friends and capped off a fantastic fall season.
